The Farm Expands Nucoda Suite with Stereoscopic-equipped Film Master
London, UK – 24th May 2010 – Digital Vision has today announced that UK post production facility The Farm has added a third Nucoda Film Master to its Nucoda grading suites. The new system, which includes full stereoscopic functionality and an advanced toolset, will be used for 3D projects in the summer by the facility’s world-class colourists including Aidan Farrell.
With demand for stereoscopic content steadily increasing, Nucoda Film Master provides clients with a toolset that includes end-to-end project management, playback and monitoring for stereo projects. Nucoda colour grading tools enable time-saving grading and synchronous workflow for left eye/right eye footage with impeccable management of every 3D acquisition format.
David Klafkowski, The Farm’s Technical Director says, “We have been using Nucoda for some time and have completed some outstanding work. Nucoda Film Master has a feature-rich 3D toolset that will allow us to embrace stereo projects delivering the outstanding level of creativity associated with the facility.”
He adds, “3D is here to stay; the gimmick factor has been reduced by major developments in display and acquisition technologies. The key to 3D in this latest wave is immersion rather than objects flying out of the screen. We’ve already seen a number of big budget cinema projects that will translate to the small screen and broadcasters have begun transmitting sport in 3D. By the end of the year we expect to be working on a number of stereo projects.”
